Our speaker, is Janae Daniels with DIY Hiring, helping us learn how to further build our business!

Hiring for Keeps:  We will be discussing when to start hiring, who to start hiring, and how to weed out toxic people to find the gems.  For those who aren't interested in hiring, the information will still be very beneficial because we will discuss aspects of performance which cause most people sincere personal reflection.

DIY Hiring:  CEO and Founder

Janae Daniels is the CEO and Founder of DIY Hiring.  The mission of DIY Hiring is to empower small businesses successfully grow through the hiring process.  Her emphasis is working with businesses with 0-20 employees.  She began her career in hiring and recruiting over 15 years ago where she worked for Manpower International as a staffing specialist hiring for a myriad of Fortune 500 companies.  She moved into the small business sector where she found her passion for helping the “bread and butter” of the United States—the very small business owners.  She also taught middle school theater for a time—and survived---which guaranteed her place in Heaven.  Over the course of her career she has conducted over 3,000 interviews; consulted with every type of business known to man on hiring; voraciously studied the best practices in hiring and employee retention, as well as the cutting-edge research in human behavior in the workplace, and behavioral economy.  Her philosophy is the adage if you “catch a man a fish, you will feed him for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, you will feed him for a lifetime.”  She loves teaching small business owners how to hire “for keeps.”  Although, she also continues to hire directly for a myriad of small businesses.

She is happily married to Jason Daniels.  They are the proud parents of six children—ranging in ages 3 to 20 and owners to one very large, unruly, slightly crazy goldendoodle.  She is an alumnus of the Stick Horses in Pants Improv Comedy Troupe and a lover of the quirky.  She is the proud recipient of “Bed Maker of the Year Award” which she made up and gave to herself after making her bed religiously for months.  (Hey, we must celebrate the little wins in life.)  She is also living her dream of never running in a marathon.  When she isn’t advising on hiring, recruiting, volunteering at church and school, helping kids with homework, or hiding in a locked closet reading Young Adult fiction while gorging on her year supply of thin mints Girl Scout cookies, she is supporting Operation Underground Railroad to stop Human Trafficking.  (Don’t be super impressed, she doesn’t ACTUALLY go undercover—she just sends financial support.)  She’d love to help your company grow through hiring.  She can be reached at janae@diyhiring.com or at 719-213-0031.
